iPad is disabled message

Hello,

Without any warning, my iPad keeps giving me the message "iPad is disabled try again in 15 minutes". After 15 minutes, it restarts the 15 min countdown again. How can I fix this? I am able to enter my device pass code before it starts the countdown.
