Catalina and iDVD

Hi I have been happily using iDVD up until Mojave arrived, when I had to copy the app to an external drive to get it to work properly.

Anybody have knowledge as to whether this will continue to be the case with a Catalina install?

many thanks

iDVD is dead and buried. The only way you can continue using it is to install Mojave or High Sierra on an external SSD and boot from it when you want to use iDVD.

Otherwise, go to the App Store and do a search for "video DVD authoring". You'll find a number of candidates that will work with Catalina. Many have demo versions that you can use for free before purchasing to remove the watermark that is added to the final presentations. Be aware that non will be as intuitive or versatile as iDVD. It is what it is.
