Help - Annoying pop-up side scroller in piano roll

This must be new to 10.5 because I haven't had this problem before and I don't know if/how I can turn it off....

When I'm working on my midi automation in the piano roll the side scroller appears when I have the mouse at the bottom so that it makes it very difficult to move any value at "0" without accidentally pressing the side scroller and jump around in the piano roll.

You mean this little nuisance?

One remedy is to set the scroll bar to Always on (System Preferences > General)

However even if you have set it to "When scrolling" (which I use), it shouldn't be a problem, because the scroll bar disappear right away once you stop scrolling, and you can drag the 0 value without interference.

Hope that helps,

Thank you!

This solved the problem for me.

But I know what the problem is now...

I have a new iMac 5k and on my old MacBook Pro 2013 I had it set to "automatically" as well but the scroll bar disapears much quicker when I quickly move around and change values with the trackpad, AND it doesn't stay visible when I have my mouse on it.

Maybe it still differs between computers? Or is it the OS?

Personally I think the scroll bar should never appear over something you might want to click on.

Thanks again!
