HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 Series Printer

Printer not communicating nor detecting with my MacBook Pro OS 10.15.5.

Set up for use with Mac. Installed HP Smart app on MacBook.

First HP product I've ever had an issue with.

Is it me or HP/Mac interface? Recommendations replace with?

TIA

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Have read urls you were so kind to offer.

I uninstalled (trashed) the HP Smart App, cleared my printer/scanners in system preferences.

Now installed the HP Smart App for Mac, added the HP OfficeJetPro 9015 to printer/scanner preferences.

Opened Documents to print - only recognizing pdf. Everything else if Mac application is not.

However, when I opened a Pages document, selected Print it actually printed.

So, hopefully I'll be good for awhile. Fingers crossed. Thank you.

Hello,

HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 All-in-One is mentioned in the following article:

About AirPrint - Apple Support

It is an AirPrint printer, and should thus be compatible with macOS 10.15 Catalina.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-pro-9010-all-in-one-printer-series/23903057/document/c06301716

How is your printer connected (Wi-Fi via a router, Wi-Fi Direct, Ethernet, or USB)?

You may want to take a look at the article If you can't print from your Mac or iOS device - Apple Support . If necessary, check setup details in the http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06220009 manual.
