I want to no longer use Icloud and there is NO PLACE TO CANCEL IT!!!!

I want to STOP I Cloud


and there is no way I can see to stop it...only to ADD to it.

If you don't want to use it, you don't have to. Simply go to your Settings > Apple ID, iCloud and make sure there is nothing enabled - see my screenshot here; I only have Mail enabled, everything else is off. You don't have to have Mail enabled either, but you do need the iCloud if you want the "Find my" enabled in case you lose or have your device stolen. So do leave that enabled.


And, if you have a backup on your computer, no need to have one on iCloud since it really isn't a stand-alone backup anyway.

If you’re only using the default and free 5GB storage plan and actually want to stop using icloud, then go to settings, tap on your name at the top and sign out of iCloud. Then your device is no longer logged in or associated with your iCloud account at all.


Of course, that also disables Find My and activation lock, disables iCloud email, and iCloud backups. You can also leave all those enabled by staying logged in and simple disable individual feature and apps under your device’s iCloud settings.
