Backup
My screen on my iPhone X is unresponsive and I need to back it up but once I plug in the charger it says I need to unlock my iPhone which I can't do... what do I do?

try this If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozen - Apple Support
if that works then start backing up your phone to icloud or itunes on a regular basis and not in time of crisis.
