My son is getting my texts on his iPad. We do have family sharing, but he's signed into his account on his iPad. How do I turn this off ?

With an AppleID, each service is separate. So you need to make sure that in settings, messages he is not signed in with your AppleID (and FaceTime, and the App Store, and icloud etc - each service is a separate login and each needs to be using his AppleID, not yours).

An Apple ID is not a name, it is an email address. Example: If your Apple is your email address such as rachelb@yahoo.com that is likely the Apple you used to set up his iPad. On both devices go to Settings > Your Name, iCloud, Apple ID, iTunes & App Store. Then tap Name, Phone Numbers, Email > Don't look at Name. Look below to Apple ID. What does it say for Apple ID on both devices. If your Apple ID email is the same, this is the issue.
