Iphone 7 plus 13.5.1 issues

After updating to ios 13.5.1 I started facing over heating problems on minimal use. I am also facing improper storage managements as when I delete something from files the storage doesn’t free. The battery drains like flowing water out of a bucket I don’t to how to improve this device. I wish I hadn’t upgraded.

Help if anyone can!!

Hi satwikZ010D,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Apple Support Communities. I understand your iPhone and battery aren't performing properly after updating to iOS 13.5.

I'm glad to help with this.

First, check to see if the health of your battery and the apps that are using it are working properly.

This article has details about how to check that, and what to do if things aren't working the way you expect:

Concerning the deletion of files from the Files app, please see the information below:

"Delete folders or files in iCloud Drive

You can manage and delete folders or files you store in iCloud Drive from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC. If you're a participant in someone else's shared folder, it does not count towards your iCloud storage. Learn more about folder sharing in iCloud Drive.

With iOS 11 or later, files that you delete from iCloud Drive remain in Recently Deleted for 30 days before they're removed from your device."

Take Care.

I believe this is a wide spread issue affecting 5s 6s 7+ devices and not isolated to end users, the “other” storage hasn’t cleared or fluctuated since the 13.5.1 update while occupying more then 50% of the device’s allocated storage (ex: device 64 Gb, “Other” storage Stuck at 40 Gb) no matter how much cleaning and deleting is done, the Other storage is invasive and unreasonable m, please advise.
