iPad Pro sound & USB-C Mic

When I plug in my USB-C mic I loose the ability to have sound. i take part in online videos so. Red to be able to listen to my co- hosts but also want to use my USB-C mic fir better sound quality. How do I achieve this ?

Using external mic in IOS (IPad pro 2017) When connecting a USB external mic to iPad through USB port (which works perfectly fine for connecting other gadgets, namely an MPK), the ipad keeps on using the internal mic, disregarding the external. The mic is working fine and is perfectly powered while connected to the USB port . Just the iPad does not seem to acknowledge nor establish an audio input to it. Is there a way to sort this issue? I was looking mainly into using the external mic with GarageBand.

IOS use external microphone with internal speakers Whenever I plug in a microphone to the ipad the internal speakers stop working. I would really like to be able to use both an external microphone and be able to hear though my speakers on the ipad at the same time. Is this possible to do? Thanks

Hello,

You will need to connect headphones to your microphone.

That’s great thanks, I’ve connected my Bluetooth headphones and still no sound. Do I need to use a splitter ?
