spam text messages

How can I block spam text messages? I am constantly bombarded with them, and they do not go to my "unknown senders" group where I can report them as junk.

If they’re all from one or a limited set of phone numbers:

Block phone numbers, contacts, and emails on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Otherwise, perhaps your cellular carrier can help.
