why is my apple ID invalid or not supported??

i'm trying to log in my apple ID (and i KNOW the gmail and password), but it keeps telling me that it's invalid or not supported. then i try the option to unlock it due to security reasons, but it appears that the ID is invalid again. please help

If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled
If your Apple ID is locked or disabled - Apple Support
If you see a message that says 'Your account has been disabled in the App Store and iTunes' - Apple …
Apple ID is Disabled - Apple Club
Apple ID- "This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons" alert appears

Contact iTunes Support using this form or scroll to the bottom of this page and follow the screens until you find a chat and/or telephone option. Pick any problem to select an option.

I searched on "apple id not valid or not supported" and found it. Click the link, and you will find many possibly relevant search results. I have not seen a reliable fix.
