iPhone 11 picture and camera quality

Hi,

I recieved my iPhone 11 today. I’ve been so excited since I placed the order, as it’s a bit upgrade from my old iPhone 6s. As an individual who uses social media a lot, the camera quality was an important factor when purchasing a new phone. After seeing the reviews for the iPhone 11 I knew I had to buy it. After setting up the phone and taking pictures i realised how blurry my pictures are. The iPhone front facing camera was clear but when I take a picture It looks slightly blurry. When I use the back facing camera everything is clear until the picture is taken and it comes out blurry. I use snapchat a lot, and in comparison to my 6s, the pictures and videos I am taking are so blurry. It looks like there’s a permanent beauty mode on pictures but this is making all my pictures appear blurry. When I was using Instagram, the pictures I am seeing are also blurry and slightly fuzzy. I am extremely disappointed as the phone is expensive and clearly isn’t fulfilling to what it advertises to be.

Hi, aiman141.

I'm glad you decided to reach out on the Apple Support Communities. I completely understand how excited you were to receive your iPhone 11, I was the same way. I can also understand how upset you must have been when your photos didn’t live up to your expectations. It sounds like you’ve put quite a bit of effort into attempting to isolate the source of the blurry photos. Taking pictures with the front and rear cameras in the Camera app, as well as third-party apps, was a great idea. This lets you know if the issue is system wide.

If I understand correctly, the image appears crisp and clear in the preview before you take the picture, and it doesn’t appear blurry until after you view the actual photo. Have you had a chance to play around with the different modes in the Camera app? What about manually adjusting the focus and exposure? If not, this is a great support article to get you started:
