My contacts on iPhone 8 have disappeared. When I try to return from a backup, a message appears that it has never been made back. Which is not true. Tell me how I can get my contacts back.

It sounds like your contacts have disappeared. Contacts can be saved in a few different places, the iCloud, the device or an internet account like an email. Make sure you are signed in to the Apple ID and other accounts you may have been using. If the contacts are saved on the device a back up would be the only way to recover those contacts.
