Apple Watch2 Update failure

I have an Apple Watch 2, model A1758, version 6.1.3 (17S811). It is paired with my iPhone Xr, version 13.4.1. I received a software update notification OS 6.2.6 for my watch. It indicates "this update provides important security updates and is recommended for all users". However, when I have everything plugged in with the watch fully charged it fails to complete the update. A window appears telling me it was "unable to install update. An error occurred installing the latest version of watchOS on your Apple Watch". How can I get this update?
