Logic is not opening at all

Here the process took quite a while, during which time it seemed like Logic had hung. Give it some time, and let Logic do it's thing ( maybe 10-20 mins)

I had the same problem. Turns out it was an audio unit that was causing the issue.

Best way to find out which one is to remove all your plug-ins to a temp folder then move them back a few at a time. Long winded I know but that's how I found mine.

The audio unit causing my issue was Roland's Integra-7 editor. Typical of Roland not to keep on top of OS updates.

Back up, And try deleting logic and reinstall via your purchased items in the App Store.

Anyone had any luck with this problem? I have trashed and reinstalled twice, dumped the preferences for plug in manager, after which Logic scanned through all my plug ins but still got stuck at the end. Have left it hanging for an hour and finally managed to locate a previous version 10.5 which worked so certainly a 5.1 update issue. Has anyone seen an acknowledgement from Apple that it is being looked at? Most frustrating! cheers

My one suddenly passed through the scanning stage on fourth time of downloading update, I can have my life back agin for a while!

Spoke too soon, Logic froze when I went to change my inputs and then hung on reopening with same problem.
