USB ports both not receiving power after Rekordbox6 failure HELP

I used a Startech usb hub to route my cdj units through to Rekordbox6.

I accidentally connected a 9volt power source to the hub, plugged it into one of my usb ports and then the cdjs into the hub. My Mac then just basically shut off and when I turned it on again, the ports wont work, no power. Every time my Mac battery gets below 10% a message comes up telling me to disconnect the devices from the ports to enable them again.

Ive tried SMC and NV PRAM resets with firmware off, as well as reinstalling High Sierra (also uninstalling previous Rekordbox drivers - which did yield a zip icon on my desktop with USB in the title)

System profiler says that power is available in mA but no power is required to the ports. Same with the hub, it all says that power is available.

What is the next step to fix this on my own? Or did I fry the ports accidentally?

Its been a month now and I'm at my wits end ... possibly a kernel panic??
