So i have my 2009 Macbook running sierra ( version 10.12.6) and the screen starts flickering when i open the MacBook. I had a friend tell me that my graphics card could be failing.
Is my graphics card failing?

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
