iphone 8 totally dead

was checking emails etc on iphone connected to wifi, left for a moment, when i came back phone was totally dead. the battery was charged to 97% and i have had no problems with the phone. phone is 15months old. Tried a restart - volume button up/down quickly then side on/off button till logo appears. no joy

We, just users like you, can't diagnose that issue remotely, sorry, also because you can't turn on your device.

Are you sure you can't turn it on performing a "forced" restart, using thsese instructions:--> Force restart iPhone – Apple Support

keeping in mind that after tapping volume up and down, you must HOLD your Side button (it might take 20-45 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears?).

Try again, and, if the issue still persists, contact Apple Support. They have tools to run remote diagnotics.
