I have to relaunch Finder several times a day

I have a iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014) and a Mac mini (Late 2012) which I control remotely. Both running latest MacOS 10.15.5.

I get this message very often when I want to connect to my Mac mini SSD:

Then I have to relaunch Finder and try again.

There is no issues connecting to my Time Capsules, only my Mac mini.

It all started after installing 10.15.4.

I think I have tried nearly everything to solve this, but with no luck. 😩

Any ideas ?

Old version of Eyetv kext file [32bit) won’t work with 10.15 yet the OS is trying to load it in the background .

It has kext files that integrate with the OS graphics for screen capture.

The kext may also be conflicting with other tasks in the current version

Eyetv also adds a menu bar tool and that’s probably screwing up the finder as it try’s to load up

With so much TV Including major networks and radio available via the internet these days the need for an external TV usb stick are almost gone imho.

Uninstall now I think, and use an app such as App-zapper to ensure all the hidden files are removed correctly- The kexts are in the system folders.

The may also have to go into your hidden library folder to remove any preference files .
