New iPad setup

I have completed set up on my new iPad, but I cannot log in to messages, FaceTime, or messenger. The log in page appears, but the section to enter password is not highlighted and I cannot enter the password. Help!

Messages & FaceTime I can no longer sign into Messages or FaceTime with my Ipad 5th gen. All other functions; apps, email, etc all work. When accessing Messages I am asked to sign in and am unable to do so. What should be our next steps?
