Can I add internet data on my device?
You would need to contact your cellular service provider and add the iPad to your plan
If the ipad is wifi only then you can’t add data to it, however you could look into something like the Mifi which is a portable hotspot. Or you can see if your phone will be a hotspot for your ipad.

If you have a cellular iPad model then you can subscribe to a cellular data plan. If you have a Wi-Fi only iPad model then you can connect iPad to a Wi-Fi network.
