Receiving Apple Cash Payments while Traveling Abroad

first post here so if I get the format or etiquette wrong, I apologize in advance.

My question is kind of A nuanced one.

I am a US citizen who has an Apple Cash account. I know that only users in the USA can have Apple Cash accounts but that you can still use your Apple Cash card abroad.

My question is, if I’m somewhere say in the EU and I have my USA issued iPhone, can I still receive a payment while I’m abroad or is there a geolocation restriction that must be met at the time of attempted send/receive payment transaction?

in a nutshell, can I still send and receive money from a USA created Apple Cash account while I’m not in the USA?
