Sync Music

I have Apple Music. Suddenly my iMac won't sync with my iPhone. Sync is selected on my phone. When I go to Preferences on the Mac, the Sync Library is checked, but grayed and I can't change it. Anybody know what this means?

If you have the Apple Music subscription service then the intention is that you enable Sync Library on the device, and music you add to your Cloud Music Library becomes available on the device to stream or download. Syncing over USB is used for other content such as podcasts or audiobooks.
