Youtube videos are being blocked as restricted content when loaded via Facebook, seems to only affect Apple products. Is this due to the latest update, is there a way to fix it

Ask Facebook. They would be the one who put the limit in their app, regardless of hardware.
Whatever the issue is, you try my suggestion with going to FaceBook from iPhone web browser?
Thats what I was thinking from what I have heard difficult to contact and then get a reply from Facebook.
Ok. Does not alter the fact they they are the party to contact. That Apple is more accessible does not transfer responsibility to them.

Using Facebook's app. Apple would not block features of an app they accepted in to the App store.

Not everything that fails on your phone is Apple's responsibility.
Again, once the Facebook app launches, it's on Facebook. If something in a recent iOS update altered the features of their app, they must issue an update to match. They catch up to Apple.

Do you know it meets the specs for the Facebook app on iOS? They may not be the same as Android or other OS's.

Just throwing it out there to see if there is some easy fix I can do in settings, esp since one of the videos is a music video I created and am trying to promote.
I will try FB next if this does not help

What previous post wrote. It’s issue with Facebook, they have to update their app’s software. Try go to Facebook from iPhones web browser, to see if YouTube videos load.
