So I’ve used about 63.8 GB out of 64 GB of my iPhone storage. I decided to turn on the optimize storage for my music. I put it on 16 GB. But it is not helping create more storage, it hasn’t done anything. I’ve tried turning it on and off. I’ve tried playing music but nothing happens. At what point will the optimize storage start deleting the music off my phone? I need more storage because now I can’t take pictures or text...

Optimization takes time and occurs when the phone is not being actively used, usually at night. You can, however, remove files immediately. Screen I’ll down in the linked article to the “Manage storage space“ section for manual delete instructions.
