So, I had about 80gb of music on my phone. I deleted it all and removed the Music app. My phone still shows most of the storage being used. Looking at the phone, the memory is now being used Other System Data. How do I get the phone to release that storage?

Yeah, I checked all of that before posting. It say that iOS will manage the “other” storage as needed. However, when I try to sync new much to my phone using iTunes, it tells me I need more space, it does free up any of that unused other space.
