Startup Disk Issue

So, when I press the option key when starting up my MacBook, I don't see a disk labeled "Macintosh HD". Instead, I see a disk labeled "mac7". How do I fix this problem so my device can boot up without showing the question mark again?

Hey there!

A MacBook booting up to a question mark/folder screen usually indicates there is an issue with the Startup Disk or filesystem. There are some steps over at If your Mac starts up to a question mark – Apple Support which will point you in the right direction for getting your MacBook Pro back up and running.

Best of luck!
