Disqualified for the Apple credit card ?

So I’m told that I am not qualified to apply for the Apple credit card and after reading the reasons why I can only determine that it’s because of litigation Against me. So having went to jail once in my lifetime stops me from getting a credit card ? Not sure how that should effect how I decide to build my credit ? I really would like to get an Apple credit card is there anything that I could do to get past this?
