Sync MacBook to Iphone 7

How do I get itunes to sync from MacBook to iPhone 7? I have put some audio CD's onto my macbook and would like to listen to them on my phone but get a message 'showing only music on this iPhone'. Can anyone advise how I can sync the two please?
