FaceTime not available

Hi,

i bought my iPhone XR from Pakistan via an authorised dealer and at that time he told me that the phone would come from singapore and it would be FaceTime locked in Pakistan. However apple officially allowed FaceTime in Pakistan with iOS 12.4. I have latest software but FaceTime is still not showing up in my phone. I am using the phone in Pakistan.

please help in getting FaceTime.

Hi,

In theory any OS or iOS update is technically a purchase and subject to the appropriate amount of APple Care Support for a product.

I am not sure from your Post if the Device was due to be sold in Singapore and therefore Registered there.

Or whether it was just going to be shipped from as a Pakistan registered device.

As you say the Apple Document says Pakistan is allowed now

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204168

The Document is macOS centric and does not mention iPhone or iPads

It does have links to other Apple Documents that might help.

Hi,

I looked here https://www.apple.com/iphone-xr/specs/

I followed some of the links that seem to suggest further info on restrictions but did not find anything helpful.

Any iOS download/install is considered to be a "purchase" and is subject to Apple Care for 90 days.

I would contact Apple Care/Support for your country and see if they can help.

I am out of further ideas myself.
