I have a $50 Apple Store Gift Card (APPLE Store not APP store) that was emailed to me as a gift. Can I redeem the credit to my Apple ID and use it to buy iCloud storage?
If not, can I use the Apple Store Gift Card to buy an iTunes Gift Card so that I can buy iCloud Storage?
An Apple Store Gift card can only be redeemed in the Apple Store. You can't redeem it to your account to use for purchases or subscriptions. You need an App Store/iTunes Gift card to pay for iCloud Storage. See the first article below. It explains the difference.

I've hunted through Apple's online store to try and find how to do this but can't find anything. Do you know? I also can't use my iPhone to Redeem Gift Card or Code - the iPhone camera won't recognise the Gift Card code because it doesn't have a border around it and when the code is entered manually it isn't recognised.
This is getting confusing. When I replied originally, I was thinking iTunes gift card. Despite that you ended up in the right store. I am not sure how to do what you want at Apple.com. But, see what Eric Root says above. He is on the right track. Just reply to him stating your problem as it is now.
