iPhone personal hotspot

I have never had trouble connecting my hotspot to my MacBook until now . It shows a message that it requires a password. When I enter the password on my iPhone it tells my that it is incorrect . I have no problem connecting my wife's iPhone. could someone please help me ?

It therefore sounds like you’re using Instant Hotspot.

Use Instant Hotspot to connect to your Personal Hotspot without entering a password - Apple Support

I suggest being very careful about keeping the two (yours and your wife’s) Apple IDs well separated in their use and ties to other devices/accounts.
