Family Sharing - Apple Music

My husband can not access Apple Music through family plan even though he’s listed as a family member on my phone. It wants him to purchase an individual subscription to Apple Music.

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today with an Apple Music family subscription. It sounds like your husband isn't able to access the subscription even though he is part of your Family Sharing group.


Be sure all these steps have been followed to start the subscription: Get an Apple Music family subscription. You may need to re-invite him.


If everything seems correct, have your husband review this page: If you don't see your family's shared content. Is it possible he is using a different Apple ID?
