How to MOVE files to iCloud (Windows 10)

How can I use Apple iCloud for Windows 10 WITHOUT storing files in iCloud to my pc? Every time I have tried to use iCloud for Windows, my pc's hard drive gets filled up (from previous post, still a question for some).

I have not found the same option that Mac's have, to not keep a local copy, for Windows. Seems counter intuitive to have cloud storage that does not provide an ability to move the files off of the host computer. Is there a Windows solution with iCloud?

Thanks for reconsidering the topic

Thanks for the reply. I have read that article. It tells you how to enable/disable the features, but you cannot choose to have the application store the data on only icloud or both on icloud and locally. It only uses the "both" option. Having the data in both places might be beneficial in a backup or synchronization scenario, but not when looking to offload a local drive.

Hello qtrolazyg,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! I understand from the information you provided that you want to uses iCloud with windows but not sync files over to your PC; I'd like to help.

The following support article provides some information that can help:

Specifically, take a look at the section labeled "On your Windows PC". This section shows how you can check or uncheck the items you want to sync to your PC.

I hope this helps.
