Muliplication in Numbers

How do i multiply a cell with a number with a cell with currency? We i enter the formula i gives me ! in a triangle.

iMac 27″, macOS 10.13

Hi Sarel-Sous,



Formula in D2 (and fill down) =B2×C2


Copy the formula above and paste into D2

If you want to type the formula, type =B2*C2

Numbers will change the multiplication operator * to the multiplication symbol × (not the same as a lower case x).

That is the same symbol as used in a calculator.
