2010 MacBook Pro Camera

My camera stopped working and the computer doesn't register that a camera is even in the computer. I have restarted my computer, and the issue persists. I need to be able to use my computer for video calling, and I have no idea why the laptop stopped recognizing the camera. Please help!

Try an SMC reset and a PRAM reset.

Try the camera while booted into Safe Mode.

Does the camera show up in the Apple System Profiler? Option-click on the Apple menu and select the first option. On the left pane should be an option for the camera. If the camera information does not show up on the right pane, then you have some sort of hardware failure (Camera/cable issue with the Display Assembly, or Logic Board).
