2019 MBP w 8GB GPU Incompatible w Adobe Products, Zoom and External Monitors... Why?

I'll put this in simple terms.

Why is it that the 8GB Radeon GPU is incompatible with Adobe Products, Zoom and External Monitors?

After spending months with an escalated support ticket involving engineers, I have turned to the community to help me with this problem.

I am not getting a response from Apple Tech Support and I am desperate because it has put a standstill in my productivity.

Hi misteraha,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

From your post, it appears that you are having an issue using 3rd party Adobe Products, Zoom and an external Monitor with your MacBook Pro. We want to help. What happens when you try to use these apps or an external monitor? Do you get any error messages?

As a good first step, make sure that your macOS is updated as well as each app. Here’s How to update the software on your Mac - Apple Support It’s always a good idea to back up your Mac before updating.

Hope that helps. Reach back out with any questions.

Best Regards!

Hello. Thanks for your reply.

I have a support ticket that is about a mile long and has gone through at least a dozen apple support techs all the way through the senior level.

All they keep saying is that the engineers are working on it. Meanwhile, I have a machine that kernel panics when attached to an external monitor and doesn't play nicely with standard designer software such as Photoshop.

There is no way that this should be happening when this is supposed to be a Pro machine.

Adobe said that it was incompatible and that's why I was receiving high cpu usage as well as kernel panics when using photoshop.

As for the external monitor it makes no sense why a machine with an 8GB GPU can't handle two external monitors.

I've given up on doing any design work on this machine and have started using my PC because Apple has completely abandoned me and I am on a deadline. I've been having issues since the 2018 model and the new 2019 model has been a bigger disappointment because it was promising to be a faster machine while instead it kernel panics on a daily basis.

I'm not the only person suffering from this.
