Have an iPhone 6. I accidentally clicked on ignore a contact. I have been unable to retrieve the contact and all emails from the same....went to phone settings, but find no way to retrieve the contact. It is not the same as blocked.

“Ignore a contact” is not a behavior in Apple’s ecosystem. Where do you house your contacts? That is where your attention should be directed.
Settings > Phone > Blocked Contacts > click on Edit in upper-right corner, then on the minus sign next to the contact number you want to unblock.
