I have been getting calls that my Apple ID has been compromised. Are these phishing calls?

I have been getting phone calls (sometimes 10 times per day) stating that my Apple ID may have been compromised. I refuse to answer or address this because I am afraid that they are phishing calls. Has anyone encountered this?

They are scam calls.

Apple does not make such calls.

All such calls are scams from criminals attempting to steal your personal and financial information. The callers will often use number spoofing to pretend they are calling from a legitimate business. The correct course of action is to hang up on them, repeatedly if needed.
