iOS 13.5.1 WiFi disconnect issues

After updating to ios 13.5.1 last night (6/15), my iPad does not connect wifi at all. My updated iPhone connects with wifi. Ipad says the password is incorrect. However, it is absolutely correct because I'm using this password for iPhone. How should I fix it?

I have not configured vpn, nor have I ever... That may get you back on your WiFi in general but that is not the issue here... I’m not sure how Apple has configured, or messed up, how the iDevice calculates the RSSI and dBm from a given AP, but it’s incorrect... I’ve tested this across multiple iDevices... This has detrimental effects on how the device decides to connect to the wlan, the proximity in which it can connect, as well as how/when the device decides to handoff between 1 AP and another within the same wlan...

I’m having similar issue. Wi-Fi was connected but after a while (5 mins), the connection was lost!!! I’m using iPhone 11 Pro too and I don’t think it’s router issue. I’m pretty sure it’s iOS upgrade because my iPad has the same issue. My husband’s iPhone X with 13.4 doesn’t have this issue at all. I have tried all suggested solutions but none worked! Apple please fix it. Temporarily solution is to disable wifi and reconnect again.

It's only been a day since the total reset and upgrade to 13.6 on my iPhone X.

So far - connecting well and maps etc are also working.

I wonder if getting rid of any VPN app on the phone helped, since the first try resulted in the phone getting warm and losing the internet connection after a few minutes.

The second time - we got rid of the VPN, and it's been stable so far...

I'll keep everyone posted as to how this goes.

Just curious... Can everyone report which devices they’re using? I’ve previously reported that my iPad Air2, iPhoneXs, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro Max all had issues with the exception of an iPhone 8+ and iPhone 7+. These 2 models showed no signs of WiFi connectivity issues what so ever.

I have not noticed this issue on a MacBook either. In the end, I feel it’s a defect impacting newer chipsets wifi capabilities and Apple hasn’t thoroughly tested it yet...

Same problem iPad Air 2, iPhone SE 2020....on IOS 3.6, original SE seems to connect ok but it’s really slow. On a rural network but everything else including including a PS4, 2 windows pc’s, and 2 android phones works just fine. I also have the battery overcharge issue on the Air 2 that I cannot get rid of. Have done complete resets With and without data removal, network resets, everything. Pretty sure it has to do with not having a 5g option, connects LTE. It’s a huge pain in the A** and may move me over to the Android and windows world I dislike so much. Really tired of useless updates that just kill my devices.

I’ve got iPhoneXS and an iPad Pro 11, both running on iOS13.6 and since installing this update both periodically disconnect from WiFi. Tested internet connection and modem/router with other devices and only issues are with iPhone & iPad. If I Shut Down using Settings/General/Shut Down and then power back up after 30 seconds, sometimes WiFi will connect and hold the connection, and sometimes I still get the “incorrect password” notification. If the latter, I re-enter WiFi password and it connects and holds connection. Lately though connection only holds for 1-2 days. Wonder if updating to 13.6.1 will help or make it worse???
