Mail Preferences does not launch, in MacBook Pro

Hi

when I am using Mail on my MacBook Pro, I cannot launch Mail>Preferences.

The window opens but it remains blank with a "Signatures" heading (see attachment).

I have relaunched Mail, I have restarted the Computer.

How can I fix this?
