downloading photos

I have been having trouble downloading new photos from my iphone 11 to my PC. The past three months' photos have been only partially downloaded despite numerous attempts. Can anyone help?

How do I transfer photos from my iPhone 12 Pro to my Mac? When I transfer my photos from iphone 12 pro to my apple laptop via airdrop, they do not open and show size of 0kb in download folder.
