USB mic not found by my 2019 MacBook Pro

Hello,

I just purchased my MB Pro 2019, i9 version. I have a USB-C adapter plugged into one of the ports. I can't seem to get my external USB mic to be recognized by the OS. The port is working just fine as I'm able to use my video capture card, my second monitor and hard drives just fine. Not all at once of course. My old iMac had no issues finding and using the mic and my USB wireless headset. Now neither will be detected by the MacBook. I'm at a bit of a loss as these things should just work.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 10.15

Hi there, have you tried with another adapter? Maybe the one you're using is not capable for audio devices...

I had considered that. But, spending even more money was something I was trying to avoid haha. I’ve ordered a plain adapter that’s not a hub. Hopefully that will work. I’ll update once it arrives.

Hello again,

The new adapter worked like a charm! This one as you can see on the left is a single port, not a hub. I'm guessing that's the only way the headset will be found.
