Macbook Air 2017 displays with a red tint

I thought it may be a display problem but the screenshots from it are reddish too. I turned off night shift, played around with colour in display setting but still no change. could anyone help me with this?

Hi natios100,

I understand you are seeing an unexpected red tint on your Mac display.

I would recommend performing an NVRAM Reset and SMC Reset. You can learn how to do so here: Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac and How to reset the SMC of your Mac.

If the issue persists, I would recommend testing in Safe Mode. You can learn how to do so here: How to use safe mode on your Mac.

If the issue persists further, I would recommend testing in a new User Account. You can learn how to do so here: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac.

Hope this helps!
