Since updating to the new OS my youtube videos won't play. I get a black screen when trying to play a video. This is the same in safari and chrome (chrome just shows an error message). Although when i disable adblock software they play, albeit with ads. I've tried all online suggestions that I can find. Are youtube getting around the adblock software now?

This is useful but I have the same problem. New iMac running Safari in latest OS and Adblock disabled in Extensions. Can't play any videos on YouTube but my other (older) iMac can even though Adblock is enabled. I think I've done most of the other things such as emptied cache, soft reboot signed out of Google and private browsing. Do you have any other ideas? Thanks.
