Having the Sonos Arc (Soundbar) with only one hdmi socket the only way to connect the ATV 4k is through the tv. A regular Arc hdmi port does not pass through Atmos from the ATV 4K so the question is will it pass through Atmos if the TV has an eArch hdmi port?

An Arc port will pass through Atmos, but it will be using a Dolby Digital Plus container. However, when using the Apple TV and viewing Apple content (i.e. iTunes, Apple TV +) it will be using MAT instead. If you had a TV with eArc then it would work automatically, but with Arc it would require a TV that allowed it to passthrough.

Yes, there was never a question with eArc so if you've ordered a TV that has it then you will be fine.
