When my Mac starts up there are several applications that automatically startup. How can I stop them from opening at startup?

One option is to remove them from your user profile's login items.


To do so, go to System Preferences > Users & Groups > (select your user account) > Login Items, and then, remove any app that you don't want to run at startup.
