MainStage Volume Bump on Patch Change, then goes back down

On both my iMac and MacBook Air, when I change patches the volume bumps up for the patch for about 3 seconds, then drops back down to normal. Happens with every patch no matter what

Audio Units failing in Mainstage I have Mainstage 3 and have patches with heavy use of Audio units (Arturia, Spectrasonics, UVI, CherryAudio, EastWest, Sampler, Alchemy). Everything is working fine but occasionally I get a pop up saying Audio Unit has failed....Recover/Close. Recover usually works (takes a bit of time which is not good in the middle of a gig, but occasionally pressing Recover crashes Mainstage....definitely not good. I have run auval -a when the pop up appears but don't understand what I am looking at. If I am editing sounds in Mainstage I can generally get the problem to appear pretty much at will. Very annoying. Aside from auval -a, is there any thing I can do to check what AU would have thrown the error? I have killed all unnecessary apps that might have been running in the background just in case the problem was a memory one but that doesn't appear to have helped. I'm running a 2022 M1 Pro MacBook 16" with 1TB SSD and 16GB Ram with Ventura 13.4.1. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. MossyB

iMac randomly adjusts volume up Since I upgraded to macOS Ventura, my iMac adjust volume up randomly (without me hitting any key). How can I get rid of this? I read somewhere that this happens sometimes in iMacs with Intel processors. And I also read that the function option+command+P+R after starting the computer should work. I tried twice and it didn't... Interestingly it also happened before with the previous system software, but there the volume randomly adjusted down, and the bug didn't appear very often and disappeared after restart. My iMac is from 2019 and has a 3 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5. Best, Chris

Is it possible that signal from the previous patch is combining with signal from the newly-selected patch? I recently read a post by a user on another forum about this exact issue and the solution was to change the setting in the “Silence Previous Audio Patch” parameter (MainStage Options\Audio).

Try setting this to “immediately” and see if it fixes the problem.
