Old Apple ID invaild

Using another email create A new Apple ID, my old Apple ID became invalid, all my telephone contact and test message disappear, can I reactivate the old Apple ID?

Old Apple ID cannot be updated on device I changed my Apple ID some time ago but apparently did not get logged out of one device. I tried the solution of changing back to my old ID; however, the email no longer exists so I can’t receive the verification email. I entered my current password and it updated partially but now just gives an error. if I look at the name, phone numbers, email, the updated ID is there. However, when I look at the main settings page, it still shows the old - and invalid- Apple ID. now it won’t take the password again, either. There has to be a better solution.

I updated my Apple ID, and now it won’t recognize me and still shows the old one! I updated my Apple ID from a really old email to my current one, and now I can’t send messages or anything! It still pops up as my old ID, but won’t recognize my password. SOOOOO Frustrated!!

Updated Apple ID, still shows old one on phone I changed my apple ID, which works on my laptop and my new iPad, but it still shows the old one on my iPhone 7 plus. I tried the old password with it, didn't work. New password didn't work. Old Apple ID is no longer recognized as valid on icloud.com or appleid.com--yet on my phone, both the icloud sign-in and the Apple ID sign-in will not let me input the new Apple ID no matter what I do. It demands the password for the old, invalid Apple ID email, with no option to enter in the new email. At a loss . . .Thanks for any help!

If you deactivated the ID, see the recover steps at the end of the article.

If that isn't what happened, what happens when you try to use the old ID? Error message(s)?

Did you forget the password?

Enter the Apple (iCloud) ID and click Forgot Password.
