Change iCloud storage location

What will happen to the storage location of my iCloud data, after changing the location from China to another country?

icloud Hi, if you change the country for iCloud do you lose the data that is stored there? Specifically your photos? Until recently I’ve been living in a country where I subscribed to iCloud and all my iOS backups and photos are stored there. But I’ve moved abroad permanently and need to change the country for the App Store and iCloud now. Hence why I need to know if I can just change the country + update payment method without losing the backups and photos currently on iCloud. Thank you!

You may have to cancel your iCloud storage before changing countries -- Change your Apple ID country or region - Apple Support, but to be certain, I would suggest reaching out to Apple Support - Contact - Official Apple Support.
